Bristol Archery is a classic! One of our most popular activities of all time, this experience is a winning choice for a final fling in the South West.

Tied up in myth and legend and made famous by Robin Hood and major motion pictures like The Hunger Games, archery is exciting, skilled and really satisfying once you've sussed it out. Get a taste for the sport with this beginner-friendly session at our favourite activity site near the city.

The venue is set in acres of farmland, just of the M5. It's got wide open spaces and professional instructors who really know their stuff.

Keep your eyes on the prize...

Feel your heart pound as you step forward and line up your first shot. The feeling of firing an arrow for the first time is intense. But first, you need to learn a few of the basics. You'll be shooting with training bows, which are lighter and more user-friendly than competition ones.

Your instructor will guide you through how to stand, raising, drawing, loading your bow, lining up your shot and releasing the arrow. Start with traditional targets, then see if you can trigger an exploding one! Which hen will be at the top of the leaderboard when the scores come in? If your bride tribe is up for a bit of friendly competition, archery is a winner.
