Bristol - Hen Party Ideas & Activities - Clay Archery

Bristol Clay Archery

Keep your eye on the prize...

Looking for new and original hen do ideas? Look no further than Bristol Clay Archery. Say hello to the legendary mashup of two classic country sports! The trap fires foam clays. Your job is to hit them using bows with specially modified arrows.

Reckon you can smash that? Up to four ladies can shoot at the same time. The atmosphere will be super tense as you all step up to the line, draw your bows and wait for the foam birdies to fly.

'Nothing clears a troubled mind better than shooting a bow.' - Fred Bear

No experience needed. Clay archery includes instruction so even complete novices can take part. That's one of the reasons it's such a good choice for hen parties. The bows are lightweight, making them much easier to handle than traditional clay shooting guns. As an added bonus, with bows, there's no kickback!

The instructors will show you the proper stance, how to hold the bow correctly and how to draw, aim and release. The thrill of shooting at a moving target is pretty insane stuff.

Fun, safe and something different from bog standard hen party activities, clay archery will make your final fling in the South West extra memorable. Learn a cool new skill and have some friendly competition in the great outdoors!
