Is your hen the kind of girl who always thinks she knows where she's going? Call her out with a Derby Orienteering afternoon! Forget your mapping app, and leave your sat nav at home. This is old school orienteering, ladies! Equipped with a traditional map and compass, your hen party will be challenged to reach a series of waypoints before returning to base. The team to successfully hit every checkpoint and get home first wins.

This is a great option for any hen party going to Derby. If you're outdoor girls, you'll love the chance to explore the countryside around Matlock (close to Derby, and the gateway to the Peaks). If you're city slickers, orienteering is a brilliant introduction to outdoor pursuits, and a great challenge for de-stressing a girl with pre-wedding jitters!

Your routes can be adapted to suit the fitness levels and expectations of your group. If you just want a nice walk in the country, the instructors in charge of your orienteering challenge will steer you towards waypoints that can be reached via nice woodland trails. But if you want to set a more hardcore challenge, we can accommodate that too. Just make sure you're wearing clothes and footwear appropriate to scrambling across heavy-duty terrain.

Competitive, group-focused and tons of fun, orienteering is the perfect way to get the girls out in the fresh air. Bring smartphones for selfies and smug shots of stunning countryside. But no cheating, now!
