9 Bake Off Showstoppers that left us Speechless

With another series of everyone's favourite baking show coming to an end, we take a look at nine Great British Bake Off showstoppers that left us all speechless, from a monster attack to that binned Alaska.

Jordan's Monster Attack

Jordan bucked the Bake Off trend for perfect piping and cupcake decorating when he produced this monster showstopper in the 3D biscuit challenge from 2014.

Nadiya's Peacock

The Bake Off tent turned into a chocolate workshop for the 2015 semi finals. Nadiya produced a perfect peacock that secured her place in the final. Although pleased, she did confess she'd rather go through childbirth again than repeat Chocolate Week.

Iain's 'Binned' Alaska

Who could forget 'bingate' from 2014's Bake Off? Beardy contestant Iain Watters literally had a meltdown when fellow contestant Diana Beard (oh, the irony!) took his Baked Alaska out of the freezer. He binned it and stalked out of the Bake Off tent. Definitely a showstopper moment that left us all speechless!

Mat's 'Tennis Court from Hades'

“This looks like a tennis court from hades,” quipped Paul Hollywood when poor old Mat presented his tennis cake.

Richard's Pirates

Another legendary bake from the 3D biscuit challenge of 2014.This work of art came in pieces that slotted together like a giant biscuity puzzle.

Paul's King of the Jungle

Paul Jagger's work of bready brilliance was a showstopper that left us all speechless - even Paul Hollywood! Only for a second or two though, when he recovered sufficiently enough to say: “That is one of the best things I've seen in bread - ever!”

Frances 'Secret Squirrel' Cake

Frances Quinn blew minds in 2013 when she produced this marble cake showstopper.

Luis' Village in Chocolate

Luis Troyano produced a stunning showstopper bake that left the whole of Britain speechless! This towering tribute to his hometown was a triumph of pastry, cake, chocolate and sugar work.
