Apart from planning the adventure activities and entertainment, what else do you have in mind? Why not push it up a notch with some exciting hen do drinking games?
Instead of being spontaneous, make a list of some epic hen party drinking games ideas ahead of the hen weekend to ensure your girls are entertained through pre-drinks! Read on to get a few hen party drinking games’ suggestions from hen party experts, and enhance your trip experience:
1. Shots Poker:
What you need:
Shots, deck of cards
How to play…
Heard about the interesting, yet infamous game, strip poker? A little modification and you have one of the best hen party drinking games ready for your lot. Play with them a few rounds of poker, and after each round, the winner must take a shot of their choice. Be it tequila, vodka or schnapps; the idea is to mess with the poker skills of your BFFs.
You don’t need much setup for this game. Get a deck of cards, bring in the bottles and shot glasses, and get on with it right away! It can be the last game you play every night to create unforgettable memories on your hen do.
2. Have you ever / I have never…
Full glasses of your favourite drink…
How to play...
Everyone will be preparing some questions in their heads before it is their turn to get the other hens to confess. The questions can be as tame or as wild as you like. Whoever answers yes to your questions, make sure they sip some of their drink (this is when the quiet ones come out of their shells).
Be creative in your questions and get to know your hen party more than you ever have before.
3. Guess Who
What you need:
Pen and paper, a bowl or an empty pint glass and some shots (glasses too).
Everyone writes a secret about themselves on their piece of paper, folds it up and places it in the bowl/glass. The first hen picks a secret out of the bowl and tries to guess whose secret it is. If they guess the correct hen, then that hen must take a shot of the other hens’ choice. If the hen who pulled the secret out guesses wrong, then she must do the shot.
4. Two lies and a truth
Full glasses of drink and maybe some shots…
How to play…
For a quick way to see if you all know each other as well as you think this hen party game will reveal who knows who. Go around the room and get everyone to take it in turn to say two lies and a truth – the rest of the group must then go around and guess which the truth was. Who ever gets it wrong drinks or has a shot.
5. Red or Black
Deck of cards and shots
If you and the girls have taken your time getting ready and only have a short time to sit around and pre-drink, then this is the perfect game for a 5-minute round up with the girls. Choose one person to be the card master first – they then go around the circle asking each to choose red or black. It’s simple, you choose the correct colour they move onto the next hen, you choose wrong then a shot it is. Can you get around the whole room with everyone choosing the correct colour… if you do the card master has to drink.
6. Ping, Pang, PONG – ting, tang and tong!
All your hens in a circle and drinks full to the brim
It may sound complicated or a bit strange, but it is a laugh! Start with just ping, pang, pong, go around the circle and each person says one of these words in order starting with ping, next hen pang etc. Whoever says pong must look at someone in the circle for them to start it again with Ping! It may seem easy, but it gets very confusing. Be testing and trick people as you learn the game. If you think it is too easy add in ting, tang, tong – same rules apply with ‘tong’ but it goes back to ping after. If someone messes up they drink… and believe us it will be more than you think. Give it a try!
