Get Some Quirky Culture in London

Ah, London! As a hen do destination, it rocks. And you can't beat it for quirky culture. I'm not talking about dusty museums or open top bus tours. If you want to get some culture but don't fancy the conventional tours, check these out.

Go on a toilet tour of London

Only in London! Get the lowdown on the great British toilet, see the swankiest loo in London, check out the pop-up urinals at Charing Cross, and find out where the term 'spend a penny' comes from. Finish with cheeky drinks at a cocktail bar in Aldwych. London culture doesn't get any quirkier than this!

If that's the wrong shape, try this:

Stag Vs. Hen GPS Challenge

Get some culture in London and whip up the old team spirit with the Stag Vs. Hen GPS Challenge ! Some clever souls took the traditional treasure hunt, turned it into an app and added loads of features like live scoring, team tracking, challenges and live maps.Take a selfie to start the game and race other stag and hen parties round London's biggest landmarks. Who will get back to the pub first?

GPS treasure hunts are self-run, so you start the game whenever you like. Great if you're planning a messy hen night in Soho and don't fancy getting up at the crack of dawn!

Take a tour of London street art

See East London's best murals, graffiti and street art exhibitions. Check out the latest work from the area's spray can artists. Absolutely fascinating, this is a brilliant way to get some culture on a hen weekend in London.

Get off the beaten track, be wowed by talent of London's finest street artists, see the freshest pieces, get the skinny on the scene, and stop for food at a local cafe. Bring trainers and make sure your smartphone's fully charged. The pictures will be amazing!

Afternoon tea bus

A ladylike take on the traditional London bus tour. Perfect for hen parties, the afternoon tea bus is a fab cafe on wheels. You get the full afternoon tea experience with crisp white linen, cute cake stands, little sandwiches, scones, teapots, cups and saucers. You can even bring your own booze on board. Sold!

See the big sights of central London without moving a muscle and scoff tasty little treats. It's a winner. Om nom nom!

Go gin tasting

Gin is a massive part of London culture, which is the perfect excuse to go gin tasting ! Find out why gin is called 'Mother's Ruin' and get the skinny on the London gin craze that swept the city during the 18th century.

Try 6 different varieties of gin blindfolded and see if you can identify which is which.  An activity that involves booze is always a winner on a hen do, and with gin tasting, you can genuinely say you got some culture in the process. No brainer!
