Hen party fears only a bride to be will understand

Your hen party; your last night of freedom; quality time with the girls, your mum and mother-in-law-to-be; whatever you want to call it and however you want to look at it, your hen night should be fun-filled and full of cheer. However, many brides-to-be share common fears when it comes to hen parties - for some reason, they always think they'll turn out to be a disaster - here are just a few of them…

Ultimate fear

A lot of soon-to-be brides are more scared about their looming hen party than the big day itself. The loss of control is a major influencing factor here because, in a lot of cases at least, the up and coming bride has no involvement with any of the hen party plans and therefore has absolutely no idea what to expect.

When used to having control of all wedding-related plans, letting go of the hen party organising is a huge deal for most brides which means, until the event itself, they're likely to exist as a panicked wreck!

Do my friends really know me?

Obviously, the bride losing control of hen party organising means the girls take over - in particular the chief bridesmaid. This is a real test of friendship and part of the bridal process that the soon-to-be bride really does hate. Although her chief bridesmaid is likely to be her oldest and best friend, the fear of how well they really know each other still very much exists as she racks her brain for the worst hen party plans she thinks her best friend could come up with.

Strippers

Strippers are very much like Marmite, and although some hens will love them, others will really hate them. The reality is that strippers are really not that hot so if you're planning a hen party, be sure the blissful bride will love this plan - because if she doesn't love it, she'll definitely hate it.

Boredom

Just as she hopes her friends know her well enough not to plan anything too wild, the soon-to-be Mrs also doesn't want to get bored. This day, evening, weekend, or week-long hen party needs to be action-packed and non-stop fun that'll never be forgotten.

Drunken mums

Drunk mums are embarrassing at any age and it's one thing that the bride-to-be always dreads - that, and a drunk mother-in-law - so one essential hen party rule to follow… always assign a member of the party to watch over mum and ensure she alternates alcohol and water throughout the night.

Although these fears rarely become reality - because chief bridesmaids generally know the bride better than she does, especially during stressful times like wedding planning - there are occasions when the bride-to-be might not want to put the stress of hen party organisation onto their bridesmaids. Or, the bridesmaids might not like the pressure of planning and hosting a party that needs to suit the tastes of so many people. But that's fine, because people like us are able to plan hen parties that are 100% perfect for you.
