International Women's Day 2020
“International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.” International Women’s Day. The day has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911.
It’s international Women’s Day on 8th March and what better way to celebrate the most inspirational women in your life than recognise the girls in your bride tribe! We all have some women in our lives that have had an impact on what we do day to day, those friends that are always there for us when times are tough and also those women that just go by day to day doing great things. On your hen weekend you will be surrounded by some of the most important women to you. These ladies have spent time planning and organising a weekend that makes you the happiest bride around! From your mum to your best friend they are all there to support you on your big day and they deserve to be noticed. If you have an inspirational woman that inspires you day to day make them aware of this. A hen party is made up of many inspiring women from maid of honour, bridesmaids, flower girls and the family. The roles of each of these members of the bride squad plays a huge part in the run up to the wedding and of course the planning of the hen weekend.
You can say thank you to each member of your hen party by recognising them on International Women’s Day. After all of this remember that you are an inspirational woman too, give credit to yourself. What you do day to day is incredible too, it’s not easy planning a wedding.
