Hvar hiking gets your bride tribe out of the bars and clubs and out into the fresh air of the great outdoors. Hvar's two fortresses are must-see attactions. Combine visits to both with a glorious walk through the sun-kissed Croatian countryside!

On your fortress hike, you'll enter the Fortica Spanjola (Spanish Fortress) and the Fortica Napoljun (Napoleonic Fortress). The former was built in the 16th century, and is still Hvar's premier castle. The Napoleonic Fortress was added to the landscape in the 19th century, at the highest point near Hvar town. To get to it, you'll climb a steep trail offering the most breathtaking views of the Adriatic, Hvar's surrounding islands and the town itself.

Life's a climb, but the view is great!

You'll need to be reasonably fit to enjoy a Hvar hiking excursion to the fortresses, but the effort is well worth it! Ladies who've been enjoying a few glasses of bubbly on the Friday night of the hen party will find the sea air and sunshine an ideal cure for hangover headaches, and once you see the view any remnants of the dreaded 'hang' will be forgotten in an instant.

Entry fees are included in the price of your fortress walk. You'll return to Hvar town via beautiful pine woods and an old quarry.
