Lisbon Salsa Class
Let loose to some Latin beats...
If you love the idea of throwing shapes to Latino beats on your hen weekend a Lisbon Salsa Class is the only way to dance. We've found a great one-hour workshop-style class for beginners in Portugal's clubbing capital. Great for beginners, it teaches the basic steps and moves.
Each one is broken down so you don't get lost. Once you're happy with those, your instructor will teach you a routine for the bars and clubs of Bairro Alto, Alfama, Belem, the docklands, Comercio Square, and Cais do Sodre.
My hips don't lie and I'm starting to feel it right...
Here's the really good news: a salsa class for a hen party is great for those with two left feet. Honest! You can learn enough steps, moves and turns in a one-hour class to go to a club and dance away with confidence. Salsa is one of the simplest and easiest dances for beginners to learn. Once you hear the catchy Latin beat, you won't be able to sit still. Instinct will kick in and you'll be sashaying away without realising it. As this workshop is two hours long, you can take your time, ask questions and practice the moves at a relaxed, no-pressure pace.
A Lisbon salsa dancing hen do will give you a real feel for what this dance is all about. Your instructor will go through essentials like learning the rhythms and the patterns of the steps. Once you've sussed it, you'll do them without even thinking. Like riding a bike!
