Is the bride mad about manifolds or does she just love to put her foot down for a bit of need for speed action? She’ll love taking on the ultimate test of driving skills on an Oxford Hovercrafts experience!
If you’re looking for something other than the bog standard hen party activities, leave the spa breaks and male strippers behind for some real action in a hovercraft. A hovercraft looks like something straight out of a science fiction movie. They are powered by brutal 600cc engines and they literally glide across the surface of the water or on a dry land skills course. They much trickier than they look to operate. Just wait until you’re standing on the sidelines watching your bestie try her hand at getting this beast to do what she wants. You’ll be laughing ‘til your face hurts!
A hovercrafting experience takes place on a specially built course that lies just outside the city centre. If your hen party falls during the rainy season you’ll be taking on water hazards and if the weather has held out and everything’s dry you’ll take on the land based skills course. Either way it’s going to take more than a knowledge of how to operate a car to make this machine do your bidding.
When you get to the outdoor activity centre you’ll be greeted by your event coordinator. You’ll go through a safety briefing and an introduction into how to operate, steer and control a hovercraft. Once you’ve got the basic skills down, it’s time to jump into your safety gear, pop a helmet on and do your best. Your hen party will have access to two single seater hovercrafts that glide across the land on a buffer of fast moving air. You can do a variety of race formats from head to head challenges to a timed relay race. Hovercrafting will have the girls confidence levels sky high and they’ll have the energy to party the night away on George Street afterwards. Win!
