Sheffield Rock Climbing

Ascend to new heights of awesomeness with an afternoon of Sheffield Rock Climbing! Add this to your hen party for a fantastic dose of adrenaline. Forget climbing walls, ladies. This is the real thing! Experienced, friendly and probably hunky instructors (we can't guarantee it, but most of them are) will take your hen party into the wilds of the Peak District for an afternoon of bouldering, scrambling, and ascents.

You'll begin by learning the basics: clambering over smaller boulders, and traversing sideways on the rocks. Once you've mastered the traverse, and the hand- and foot-hold skills that come with it, you'll graduate to a full climb. With instructors and your fellow hens encouraging you every inch of the way, you'll reach summits that look impossible from ground level!

The trick to climbing is to lift your weight using your legs and lower back. Arms are there to keep you securely locked into position as you prepare for the next section, and to help you swing your legs from one foothold to the next.

Fully kitted out in harness and headgear, you'll be ready for anything. Learn skills that give you an amazingly quick progression from basics to brilliant! Once you have these techniques under your belt, you'll be able to come back and climb whenever you like. Rock climbing is a fantastic standalone activity for your Sheffield hen party, or it can be incorporated into a day of outdoor adventures!
