Grace Kelly nailed it, or rather designer Helen Rose did, with an ivory masterpiece made up of a bell skirt, high neck lace bodice and pleated waistband. The effect was suitably demure and somehow sexy, thanks to the fact that the tiny waist created an hourglass silhouette. The chapel train was just under 2 metres long.
